Research, Monitoring, Writing & Analysis

  • Identifying, triaging, analyzing and reporting policy and regulatory developments:
  • that could affect Moody’s credit rating businesses in jurisdictions where the company is, or is considering, carrying on business with a particular focus in India and Asia Pacific; and
  • in other areas of interest to Moody’s, including ESG, cyber, data technology and political risk with a particular focus in India and Asia Pacific
  • Monitoring activities include the review of regulators, industry associations and policymakers’ websites and news alerts for updates on policy and regulatory areas of interest to Moody’s
  • Analysis and reporting activities include drafting and contributing to regular GPRA publications, including Regulatory Analysis Updates, Regional Policy Monitors and similar regional policy and regulatory overviews
  • Develop knowledge of areas of interest and concern and past regulatory responses or letters on those topics and assist in preparing a “basic materials pack” for new or follow-up consultation papers or requests for information


  • Managing effectively the projects assigned to him/her
  • Managing multiple, concurrent projects while maintaining a high level of control, quality and consistency for all assigned projects
  • Ensuring efficient and effective project delivery through the use of follow-ups, detailed and well thought out scheduling/planning efforts, identification of risks, escalating to manager where necessary
  • Providing accurate and timely weekly project updates


  • 2-5 years’ experience doing research or writing in financial sector, data/tech and/or legal, policy and regulation related fields
  • Strong academic background – Bachelor’s degree in international Relations, International Trade & Finance, Economics, Business, Technology, Law or other relevant discipline
  • Knowledge of local and/or regional policy initiatives

  • Fluent in English language, both verbal and written; regional local languages are a plus
  • Excellent executive-style communications and presentation skills – visual/written/verbal

  • Unquestionable personal code of ethics, integrity, inclusion and trust
  • Able to successfully navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
