The identified candidate will be leading the Legal function in Roche Diabetes Care India being the business partner for the internal stakeholders for any advice or assistance on strategic and operational legal matters.
The identified candidate will be a member of the Roche Diabetes Care India Leadership Team, reporting directly to the General Manager with a dotted line to the Head of Legal Region International Roche Diabetes Care.
Detailed Roles And Responsibilities Are As Follows:
Provide legal advice on an extremely wide range of commercial arrangements, challenges and opportunities to all levels of the business including the Leadership Team Understand the business activities and draw and implement legal strategy for all the business areas
Work with the internal stakeholders and lead the drafting, vetting and reviewing business contracts, including standardization, such as Distribution Agreement, Services Agreement, Supply and Tender Contract, Business Promotion activities, Leave & License/Lease Agreements, Employment Contracts, etc., negotiate the contracts with third parties
Drafting, vetting and reviewing replies/submissions to Govt. Authorities
Advise on new aspects of the law when business models are changing due to digitalization (e.g., IT alliances, SaaS agreements, e-commerce)
Advice on key matters such as antitrust, data privacy, promotional material, labeling requirement, product liabilities, etc.
Manage the external counsels on all legal matters to ensure appropriate service and quality levels and contain costs Tender submission and related legal implications management
Keep track of various amendments to applicable regulations, identify their business implications and train employees on legal matters accordingly
Management of corporate legal documents, including board meetings, preparation of powers of attorney, follow up on formalities related to certification and notarization of documents, etc.
Legal risk identification and drawing mitigation plan
Coordination with Diagnostics Legal team members and Diabetes Care Regional Legal
