IDBI Federal Life Insurance Co Ltd. is a three way joint venture is looking to hire a Manager – Legal for their Mumbai Office.
Candidate Requirement:
Law graduate from reputed University (Masters preferred)
5-8 years of post-qualification experience
Litigation experience (in-house or practice) compulsory
Insurance industry experience preferred
Updated on case laws & legal provisions
High research acumen
Strong interpersonal skills
High language & comprehension skills
Understanding of business terms
Positive attitude
Key Responsibilities:
Handling litigation profile, such as Handling litigations before Consumer Forums; State / National Commissions; Civil Courts; High Courts; Supreme Court; Insurance Ombudsman, Criminal Courts, etc.;
Preparing pleadings & other court documents, briefing lawyers, appearing in courts, collating litigation data, maintaining litigation files;
Planning legal action/defense, providing legal opinions, driving management initiatives relevant to the profile;
Maintaining management reports/trackers of the profile (system based & non-system based), monitoring external counsels (performance & fees).
