Job Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts including services, consulting, marketing, licensing, non-disclosure and other commercial and technology related agreements
  • Understand the Giant Eagle structure, its products, programs, and services offerings in order to identify risks, develop solutions, mitigation and negotiation strategies
  • Perform risk analysis review for all contractual documents and recommend mitigating options to business stakeholders
  • Create and maintain relationships with vendors, customers and internal business units needed to fulfill the contract management function
  • Perform general contract administration tasks, such as managing the contract intake mailbox, assigning reviews, preparing and sending notifications and status updates as well as providing commercial contract support to business function teams and performing operational research to support proposals and contract development
  • Set up and support of software vendor implementations and development of systems to track requests for reviews and maintain deadlines on review deliverables and communicate on an ongoing basis with business partners, vendors and internal clients about contractual issues
  • Manage organizational contract development and management activities and enforce organizational principles of integrity and compliance
  • Ensure that contracts and proposals are properly entered into organizational and management databases and securely maintained
  • Prepare and provide various reports related to the contracting function, including the performance of the contracting tools and reports of contract types and status
  • Monitor critical contract obligations to assess and consider for modification, close-out, extension, or renewals
  • Assist business teams with and draft change control notices, addendums, and amendments to existing agreements, as needed
