Position description:

  • Drafting, vetting, negotiating and settling various types of agreements including but not limited to: Deeds Leave and License Agreement, MOUs, LOIs, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Acquisition Agreements, Funding Agreements, Marketing/ Operations/Service Agreements, Franchise Agreements, Business Conducting Agreements, Renewal Agreements, Cancellation Deeds, Rectification, Deeds, Supplementary Agreements, Share Subscription Agreements, Commission agreement, Shareholders agreement etc.
  • Provide timely support to the Operations, Inside Sales and Enterprise Sales teams by responding to inquiries including general legal guidelines, policies.
  • Support other business lines including Registered Office, special projects with third parties/incubators/ startup development and innovation development bodies on regulatory matters
  • Extend support to business teams in case of an external audit, inspection, raid or investigation
  • Advise the various business teams on managing and resolving pre-litigation issues and manage the process once developed into formal litigation
  • Liaising, coordination and follow up with the external Counsel and advocates in relations to company legal matters/court cases
  • Support and manage various activities around Legal due diligence including organizing of contract management systems and other databases.
  • Actively coordinating with other functional areas for day to day legal matters such as the issuance of notices, recovery of payments, disciplinary actions in terms of Leave and License Agreements, electricity issues.
  • Provide support (internally or through liasioning with external Counsel or SMEs) to other Central functions including HR and Procurement on regulatory and contractual matters including labor and establishment related compliances
  • Preparing strategies to defend the company’s legal cases.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in Law from reputed law college
  • 8-12 years of post qualification experience preferably in Hyper Market/Super Market/ Real Estate industry handling Legal function
  • Experience in contracts management and/or process management
  • Well acquainted with Companies Act and other Central & State laws and regulations.
